Artifact: Flipgrid Source: EDU222 and EDU223 Instructor (if applicable): Dr.Theresa Overall and Dan Ryder Introduction to the Standard Standard: Students demonstrate creative thinking, construct knowledge, and develop innovative products and processes using technology. Indicator: b. Create original works as a means of personal or group expression Interpretation: Creating original work in order to let students show their creative thinking while using technology. Introduction to the Artifact: I created a flipgrid in order to assess my GRASPS project for my lesson plan. Rationale: The flipgrid that I created is a pre-assessment to my GRASPS project. I have two different prompts that relate to the Russian Revolution for students to choose from. The use of flipgrid in an English classroom allows students to express their creativity in a different way than usual. They can act out a certain prompt, they can make it into a podcast, or a news broadcast. The possibilities are endless with this website. It also allows students to plan out what they would like to say before actually filming the video. If they want to they can work with others to get their ideas out and down on a piece of paper first then film or they can just go straight to filming and edit it after to how they like it. Flipgrid is a virtual environment and it allows students to express their creativity in a new way. Artifact: Flipgrid 1 Flipgrid 2
