Artifact: ACTEM Source: EDU223 Instructor (if applicable): Dr. Theresa Overall Introduction to the Standard Standard: Teachers continuously improve their professional practice, model lifelong learning, and exhibit leadership in their school and professional community by promoting and demonstrating the effective use of digital tools and resources. Indicator: b. Exhibit leadership by demonstrating a vision of technology infusion, participating in shared decision making and community building, and developing the leadership and technology skills of others Interpretation: Teachers improve their knowledge continuously and demonstrate the use of technology within the classroom and to others. Introduction to the Artifact: I was able to attend ACTEM (Association of Computer Technology Educators of Maine) this semester with the practicum block. Rationale: While I was in practicum, I had the privilege to attend the ACTEM conference. I had to create a GRASPS project to present at the conference, along with at least one prototype. This gave me the opportunity to have other educators come and look at my lesson and give me feedback that would benefit me not only in the future but also for when I needed to edit my lesson. This opportunity has allowed me to grow as an educator and as a student. Getting this feedback has allowed me to edit my lesson in order to improve it for my future students. Artifact: My first artifact is what I presented at ACTEM and the second is my GRASPS project which is described in stage two of my unit plan. Showcase
