Interpretation: The teacher realizes that the content knowledge is not a fixed concept. It is constantly changing and teachers need to keep up to date with new information. Introduction to the Artifact: While I attended the ACTEM conference I took notes on each session that I attended throughout the day. Rationale: This semester I had the privilege to attend the ACTEM conference. Throughout the day I was able to attend multiple educational sessions. The first session I attended was all about co-teaching with a special education teacher. Both teachers used google classroom and team drive in order to allow all the students to have access to all the information for the class. Team drive also allows for both of the teachers to edit any of the documents within the folder. So if there was an assignment that needed to be modified in order to fit a students IEP or 504 then the special education teacher would be able to edit the assignment in order to meet the students needs. Once the assignment has been modified then the general education teacher can have access to it in order to give it back to the students. Both educators also talked about different programs they used within their classroom. Some examples are pear deck, orange slice (rubric creator), and kammi (annotation device). The second session I attended focused on how to incorporate parents and families more in the classroom. There were two large point made within this session. The first was to ask parents what works for them. See if the families have access to internet at their homes, if there is a computer at the house, what works for the parents, etc. The second was to teach the parents what technology will be used in the classroom. If the parents don't understand what is being used in the classroom then they won't be able to help their children. Artifact:
